Pirates on the River!
This weekend, if you come downtown to the Riverfront, you are likely to see Pirates at the Convention Center. Not that they are a lot of Pirates on the Ohio River, but in this case, the Pirates we are talking about are Heath Pirates.
The Convention Center is pleased to host 100 Years of Heath High School and the All-Class Reunion. On Saturday night, more than 800 Heath Graduates will be dinning and dancing at the complex. Dinner will be held in the Convention Center Ballroom on Saturday, July 3 and they will follow dinner up with dancing in the Expo Center’s South Hall.
Where else in town can you have 800 or more guests for dinner? Because of the size of the event, along with the newly renovated Convention Center, event organizer Gary Jackson and the rest of his committee knew the only answer was the Convention & Expo Center.
Our spacious lobby will give the group plenty of room for a grand registration. Plus, one of the smaller meeting rooms adjacent to lobby will serve as a memorabilia room for treasure of the last 100 years of Heath High School.
The flexibility of the space really gives the event the “grandness” that it deserves and ensures that the 800-plus guests won’t be cramped.
It’s not often that our clients needs dinner space for 800 and don’t think that the Convention Center is only for big groups. We are just as happy hosting a meeting for 30 in one of our smaller meeting rooms or a wedding reception for 100 in one section of our River Ballroom.

There are only about 180 Shopping Days left until Christmas. Which means, there are even fewer days left to book your holiday party at the Convention Center. November and December are filling up fast and what a better time to book than now.
For the entire month of July, anyone booking a holiday dinner or reception for November or December can receive a 20% discount off our very competitive rental rates. But, you have to book in July to get the discount!
Your rental rate covers all the tables, chairs, setup and cleanup making your office party something you, as the event organizer, can also enjoy. So many times the one planning the event doesn’t get to enjoy it because you spend your time worrying about tables and chairs or if there is someone to clean the restrooms or unlock doors. Not at the Convention Center. We do our best to take care of your needs before you even know what they are!
If you haven’t been in the Convention Center in a while, we encourage you to make an appointment to tour the facility. The multi-million dollar renovation just isn’t done justice in photos. You have to see it to believe it.
The facility will be decked out for the holidays and we can’t wait to hear the sounds of the season ringing through the halls.
